u are what u wear。|| Stylish back Stalker---------------時尚背影殺手 ||

stylish_back_stalker01

YES, It is never-end for my last London-Paris trip sharing. Must say it was a very "fulfilled" trip that full of surprises, even with those back-only street snaps. This winter in Asia, the weather is pretty warm, which is the similar temperature while I was in London, so it would be a good inspiration for your CNY mix-and-match! (for both adults and kids !!!)

London, London, one of the capital for dressing up individually also very stylish. Just like I mentioned in the last post: Fashion week: Street Butterflies, Londoners are very handy when it comes to mix-and-match, and with so many elements altogether. The prints, bold colors or different textures, they can all effortlessly make the outfit sparkle and make people smile when we see them. Look at the kids! Those mom must do their best to show their kids how important to be individual and stylish start with their very early age!

Parisian, all about details and slick, and walk (run) very quick!  I must say if you want to see trendy people in Paris, go to MERCI and COLETTE. Most of my "stalker" photos are taken in those two places. They enjoy high-lighting "one thing" within the outfit, either the eye-catching item or the details/textures of the whole style. I guess that's why Parisian style is so popular, cos it's a real everyday wear but also good for so many occasions because the style is so classic and chic with natural colors.

Even we Asian girls are not as tall as those Western girls, ( which could make us petite and shy) but we still can make those photographers camera rolling/ snapping with our Eastern confidents and tastes to create those "stylish back".

Oh! I put one of my "back" in here, see if you can spot it haha.

there。

Shanghai has been packed with lots of exhibition and fun last year (well, that really has something to do with making a good friends with right people haha) Was planed to see Yayoi Kusama's 'A Dream I Dream' on Dec, but end up rain checked it to this Jan. (Take you time, no rush, it ends on March, 2014) Because of the experience with Dior so me and my friends decided to went early morning on this one, so luckily we can finish the whole tour within an hour without lots of queuing. It was like entering a big big collation of dots, some are adorable, some are mysterious, and most of them are spectacular indeed. Dots are like Strips are very classic patterns, but with Yayoi Kusama's extraordinary imaginations and creations, it makes the exhibition a really hit now in Shanghai.

Already title it with "Spotty Dotty Shanghai', of course after Yayoi Kusama's exhibition and a nice pizza for lunch (another round object!) we headed to another hit spot here in Shanghai, 10 CORSO COMO,  located in Jingan District. This Italian concept store has the theme of 'round' all over the building, from the wall, the glass decor, floor, the table, chair and sofa, everything. We start our tour with wondering the first 3 floors which are full of beautiful selected designer pieces, and at 4th floor, there is always a mini exhibit you can look around. Then finally go back to the first floor, where you can find a little cafe.  Enjoying the tea which comes with iron tea pot,  while sitting there, feel the magnificent experiences you can got between those imported eastern and western cultures, all in the city of Shanghai.

New Year Resolution。||Let's Glow 排毒舒果汁||

2014_resolution01

每年我都會為自己設下目標, 去年是“KEEP CALM and CARRY ON”。

Every year, I set up a GOAL for myself to achieve, last year was "KEEP CALM and CARRY ON". As I mentioned before I have problems with my skin. Last year I had lot of treatments and started my YOGA. So this year I decided to work hard from the "inside" which would be DETOXING both my body and mind. Luckily a dear friend recommend this " Glowing Green Smoothy" to me.

The ingredients and process are fairly simple, all you need to be aware is the ingredients are better be organic or you have to wash it properly since we are eating them raw. (and if you are afraid of parsley and coriander, you can change to ginger) The first time I saw it, I don't feel quite comfortable drinking this greeny thing. But after I had my first cup, I felt refreshing! Especially in the morning, it could be the best waking-up and energy drink to start the day!

The other day when I was in my Yoga class, the instructor said, ' Feel the sensation, but without reaction.' Mind detoxing is as important as body detoxing. Feel every moment with your heart, treat it with peaceful mind, then you can make the right choice and emotion. How marvelous are our mind and body works!

corner。|| Be better than English,Be Chinglish

Here i'm not talking about the language, ( of course we need to speak proper english) I'm talking about life style, more of style. We all love English mansions and gardens, flowers and bushes. ( I was really laugh 'hard' loud when I see the real round little trees in a row, ridiculously adorable) I guess no one will do such a tour of HOUSE when they are in London, but I found it very surprisingly FUN! ( blame to my helpless english dream, will ya?)

Well, it was really a friend visiting thing, and then turn out I'm so in love with that neighborhood, quite and posh in a low-key way. ( makes me a bit confused that i'm still in London but it feels like I'm in a small village far way from the city)  My dear friend Lin and her husband David (both from China) bought this three floor semi-detached house 3 years ago and furnished it all by themselves. What I love mostly about the house is that the mix of East and West but still pretty refined and elegant. Simple black and white with touch of brown and some colors, makes the house cozy but also filled with characters, and the sense of humor (find the Einstein cushion)

Be_better_than_English_Be_Chinglish_10 Be_better_than_English_Be_Chinglish_12

看看這個像是裝置藝術的東西, 是Lin自己DIY的!(有人相信她居然沒有藝術背景卻有著這麼好的品味?!)Dear Lin DIY this, easy, simple just like an art installation. (still can not believe she has no art background)

The cute couple really does have taste in life, flowers and greens are in every corner, makes the house full of energy. And the Chinese style furnitures just blend beautifully with this English house. What surprise me is that those are not designer pieces, they are just normal furnitures bought in Chinese deco market and Taobao, then shipped to England. Turns out, behind the great taste, there is also a smart smart brain.

Second floor (yes, envy them please, they have three floors, many bedrooms, three bathrooms and a big garden all for two of them) is their master bedroom located. Love love the corner of this vintage Chinese style wardrobe with the touch of feminine fabric inside the glass (which is another diy by Lin, who is full of taste)  and the leather sofa. Great balance, remind me of Ying and Yang. Surprised continued in this house, lovely details like the fun light, the painting on the floor, she makes everything looks so causal, looks like the "effortless effect" but I bet it's definitely a lot of "where should I place this, here? here? here? or there…" drama going on in her head.

It need massive courage to live across the ocean away from your hometown, and it's very different from studying there to settling there. I have done the first one, I know how hard it could be, but I think people like Lin and her husband are way more brave, with a house and career there as foreigners. However, the tour of the house makes me envy, not only the size or the life style they got here (much much much better living quality than we all got in asia huh? considering the same price we got here…) But how well they turn this English house into a HOME that really reflect their hometown.  Bless them.
